Incline Dumbbell Press strength calculator.

Get an incline dumbbell press score using the correct per-dumbbell load convention, plus an estimated max and exercise standards.

Calculate your incline dumbbell press score

Enter the weight of ONE dumbbell, not the combined pair. Use a completed set of 1–12 reps. Inputs stay in your browser.

Enter the weight of ONE dumbbell, not the combined pair. Sex selects the standards; age is not used.

Muscles worked

Chest, with front shoulders and triceps involved in the press. In Repolve’s scoring model, this exercise supplies primary evidence for chest. Training involvement and scoring coverage are different things.

Make your sessions comparable

Keep the bench angle and range of motion consistent. A steeper incline changes the movement, so note the setup in your history. Compare the same dumbbell weight convention from session to session.

How the estimate works

For a single rep, the estimate is the load entered. For 2–12 reps, the production engine uses the Epley estimate: weight × (1 + reps ÷ 30). It compares the resulting estimated max with bodyweight and the exercise’s sex-specific thresholds. This is an estimate from a completed set, not a prescription for your next attempt.

Incline Dumbbell Press strength standards

These ratios come directly from Repolve’s production standards. They describe exercise benchmarks, not population percentiles or age-adjusted rankings.

Track progression

Smaller equipment jumps can make progress easier to see in reps before it appears in load. Keep the actual reps next to the estimated max and compare the same incline setup.

Common variations

Flat dumbbell bench press and incline barbell bench press use separate standards. Two 30 kg dumbbells belong in this form as 30 kg, not 60 kg. A barbell entry instead includes the full bar and plates.
