STRENGTH, UNDERSTOOD.

What Is Repolve?

By Repolve · Updated

Repolve is a strength-training app that turns eligible workout data into a Strength Profile to help you understand your strength and progress.

Instead of only storing sets, reps, and weights, Repolve uses eligible training data to build a Strength Profile across your body. It tracks your overall Strength Score, individual muscle scores, personal records, and changes in strength over time.

The goal is simple: understand what your training means.

How does Repolve work?

You log your workouts in Repolve like you would with a traditional workout tracker. Record your exercises, sets, reps, weights, and other training details as you train.

For supported exercises, Repolve uses the strongest eligible set per exercise in each workout as strength evidence. It estimates exercise performance, relates it to supported muscle groups, and builds your Strength Profile over time. More sets can increase training volume without automatically increasing estimated strength.

Your training contributes to:

  • Your overall Strength Score
  • Individual muscle scores
  • Your Strength Profile
  • Exercise and strength progress
  • Personal records
  • Training history
  • Progress with friends and other lifters

As you continue training, your profile evolves with you.

If you already log workouts in Strong, you can bring that history into Repolve. Follow the Strong workout import guide to get started.

What is the Repolve Strength Score?

The Strength Score is Repolve’s way of turning your strength across different exercises and muscle groups into a simple score you can track over time.

Traditional workout trackers can tell you that you bench pressed 185 lb or completed 10,000 lb of training volume. Those numbers are useful, but they don’t immediately answer a broader question:

How is my strength actually developing?

Repolve uses your training performance to estimate strength and connect supported exercises to the muscle groups they measure. That information contributes to muscle-level scores and your overall Strength Score.

The result is a more understandable view of your strength than a list of disconnected workout numbers.

What is a Strength Profile?

Your Strength Profile brings together estimated muscle-level strength, an overall Strength Score, and changes over time.

Instead of treating your entire body as one number, Repolve shows how different areas are developing. This can make it easier to see which muscle groups are progressing and where more training evidence is needed. A missing score means there is not enough eligible evidence; it does not mean a muscle is weak.

Your Strength Profile develops as Repolve gets more information from your workouts.

That means you don’t need to test every muscle or exercise on your first day. You build the profile by training.

How is Repolve different from a traditional workout tracker?

Most workout trackers are built primarily around recording what you did.

Repolve starts there and uses eligible performance to help you understand how your strength is developing.

A traditional workout log might show:

Bench Press — 185 lb × 8 reps

Repolve can use performances like that as evidence about your strength, connect them to the relevant muscle groups, and incorporate that information into your evolving Strength Profile.

So instead of only asking: What did I lift?

Repolve is designed to help answer: How strong am I becoming?

Workout logging is the input. Understanding your progress is the output.

Does Repolve track individual muscles?

Yes. Repolve tracks scores for individual muscle groups.

Supported exercises contribute evidence to the muscle groups they measure in Repolve’s scoring model. This is not necessarily every muscle involved in performing a movement. Your training can therefore build scores for different areas of your body rather than producing only one overall number.

This lets you see your strength development at a more detailed level and makes your Strength Profile more useful as you log additional training.

Does Repolve track personal records?

Yes. Repolve recognizes improvements in your training and tracks personal records as part of your progress.

Rather than treating a PR as an isolated number buried in workout history, Repolve connects improvements to the larger picture of how your strength is changing.

Does Repolve generate workouts for me?

Personalized programming is in beta. Repolve’s programming engine builds structured training around goals, schedule, equipment, and experience. Beta availability may vary.

Workout logging, Strength Profiles, and progress tracking are available in the iPhone app. Programming uses your preferences; it does not automatically adapt to changes in your Strength Profile.

Can I use Repolve with friends?

Yes. Repolve includes social features that let you connect with other lifters and see training progress.

The emphasis is on progress, not simply rewarding whoever can lift the most weight.

That distinction matters because two people with completely different experience levels can still compete over improvement, consistency, and meaningful progress.

What are Repolve Seasons?

Seasons add a competitive layer to training.

Instead of creating a permanent leaderboard dominated by the strongest lifters, Repolve uses progress and training activity to create competition around improving over time.

The idea is to make competition useful even when people begin at very different strength levels.

Is Repolve only for advanced lifters?

No. Repolve is designed for people who want to understand and improve their strength, whether they are still building their first Strength Profile or have years of training history.

More experienced lifters may have more established numbers, but newer lifters can gradually build their profile as they train.

You don’t need to know your strength level before using Repolve. Discovering it is part of the experience.

Is Repolve free?

Repolve is currently free to use.

For the latest information about availability, features, and future pricing, check the Repolve website or App Store listing.

What platforms is Repolve available on?

Repolve is currently available for iPhone on iOS.

Platform availability may expand as Repolve develops.

What exercises does Repolve support?

Repolve supports a growing library of strength-training exercises across major muscle groups and movement patterns.

Logging support and scoring support are different. Exercises with an eligible strength standard can contribute to your Strength Profile; other logged movements still remain useful training history.

You can also explore Repolve’s exercise guides and calculators to understand individual lifts and estimate your strength, including the bench press, squat, deadlift, lat pulldown, and incline dumbbell press.

Who is Repolve for?

Repolve is for people who want more from their workout history than a record of sets and reps.

It is particularly useful if you want to:

  • Track strength progress over time
  • See your strength across different muscle groups
  • Understand where you are improving
  • Identify areas of your Strength Profile that need more development
  • Track personal records
  • Log workouts without giving up control of your own training
  • Compare progress with friends
  • Understand strength development over time

If you already track your workouts but rarely look back at the data, Repolve is designed to make that data mean something. Our workout tracking app comparison explains how different apps use training data, from logging and established programs to understanding strength and progress.

Why was Repolve created?

Workout logging produces an enormous amount of useful information, but much of it ends up buried in workout history.

Sets, reps, weights, exercises, and personal records all contain evidence about how someone’s strength is changing.

Repolve was created around the idea that this information should become something you can actually see and understand.

Your workouts shouldn’t disappear into a log after you finish them.

They should build a picture of what you’re becoming.

Start building your Strength Profile

Your training history is the starting point. Eligible performance builds the strength evidence.

Log your training, discover your Strength Score, build your muscle-by-muscle Strength Profile, track your progress, and see how your strength evolves.

Every rep evolves you.
